Sam Bowman
Sam Bowman is the Research Manager at the Adam Smith Institute, responsible for the blog and for overseeing the ASI’s briefing papers, think pieces and reports. He has also appeared in a number of prominent media channels for the ASI, including BBC Radio 2, Radio 4, CNBC and Al-Jazeera. Sam holds a bachelor's degree in history and economics from University College Cork, and has recently completed a master’s degree in history at the School of Oriental and African Studies where he wrote his thesis on social engineering in the postcolonial African state. Before joining the ASI, Sam worked for the Blackstone Group. Sam's research interests include welfare and international development. He is influenced by the Austrian school of economics, and has an academic interest in the history of the state. In his spare time, he enjoys socializing with friends and travelling.
