Red Fox Ceilidhs is a chance for young volunteers to plan and run two ceilidhs - community dances that bring everyone together!

If you're interested in live music, or in folk dance from any culture please get in touch. We're looking for volunteers to perform on the night as well as for people to help behind the scenes with the planning of the event and for front-of-house.

If you're looking at volunteering to boost your CV we have some great project management opportunities, including marketing and market research, planning and event management.

Are you 16-25 year olds not currently in Education or Employment with a passion for music, singing and film making get them to sign up to I Have a Choice – Music Potential, the day provides tasters in all areas with the opportunity to then join a free accredited course in one of the areas.

What can you expect at the event?

There will be the chance to try each of 4 fun and diverse taster workshops, each lasting 30 minutes:

Music Production: An intro to Music Production giving you the opportunity to learn about essential music production skills and to create your own bespoke track.

DJ Skills in Radio: Learn the basics of DJing, whilst introducing you to the equipment and techniques you need to keep the dance-floor booming.

Vocal Skills: An intro to techniques to compose melodies, write lyrics and deliver accomplished vocal performances for both singers and MCs

Film-Making: Find out about the equipment and basic techniques used for planning and filming first-rate short films and music videos.

When: 22nd March 2011, split into 3 sessions, from 11.00am – 1.00pm, 1.30pm – 3.30pm and 4.00pm – 6.00pm. Each session will be the same.
