The government indicated that the Big Society is communities feeling empowered to solve problems in their neighbourhood, having the freedom to influence and discuss topics that matter to them, and a more local approach to social action and responsibility.

David Cameron says he wants this government to be the first in a generation to leave office with much less power than it started with. Big Society’s Big Mouth has been created to give young people a space and some power to discuss what really matters to them.
